Expect elevated service from professional drivers. People driving with Uber Black must maintain a minimum rating requirement of 4.85 stars, be insured to drive commercially, and meet state- or local-level livery regulations.

How to ride with Uber Black
1. Request
Open the app and enter your destination in the "Where to?" box. Once you confirm your pickup and destination addresses are correct, choose Black at the bottom of your screen. Then tap Confirm Black.
Once you’ve been matched, you’ll see your driver’s picture and vehicle details and can track their arrival on the map.
2. Ride
Check that the vehicle details match what you see in the app before getting in your Black.
Your driver has your destination and directions for the fastest way to get there, but you can always request a specific route.
3. Hop out
You'll be automatically charged through your payment method on file, so you can exit your Black as soon as you arrive.
Remember to rate your driver to help improve the safety of Uber and make it enjoyable for everyone.

You are allowed to bring up to four passengers total (including yourself) when you request an Uber Black.

*Per-minute wait time fees will apply if riders do not board the vehicle within the allotted grace period. The grace period for Uber Black trips is 5 minutes for non-airport pickups, and 2 minutes for airport pickups. The driver may charge the rider a cancellation fee if the rider has not boarded the vehicle within 15 minutes of a non-airport pickup, or within 5 minutes of an airport pickup.
**Phone support excludes canceled trips and is only available within 24 hours of a completed trip.
