  • Avis is teaming up with Uber to provide a car rental solution for eligible drivers. People who drive with Uber who are in need of a car or don't want to use their own may look to Avis, which is providing cars with low-commitment options. The weekly rate includes liability insurance and unlimited miles.

  • Sign in to the Driver app and go to Account > Vehicles > View rental options. Then select a rental car from Avis, including the car class you want and the participating Avis location to pick up the car. Eligible cars start at a weekly rate of $260 plus applicable taxes and fees. No security deposit required.¹

  • The weekly payment for eligible cars covers the base rate of the car and includes liability insurance and basic maintenance. If the vehicle is operated in accordance with the rental agreement and it is damaged, the driver will be responsible for the cost of the damage up to a $1,000 deductible.²

  • The weekly rate doesn’t include applicable taxes and fees, gas, or any ancillary products.

  • No, with Avis, active drivers are eligible to keep the same vehicle for up to eight 7-day periods (56 days total) unless Avis, in its discretion, asks you to return or exchange. A new vehicle will be provided.

  • To rent a car with Avis:

    • You must be at least 25 years old
    • You must possess a valid US driver’s license
    • You must have a valid credit card (prepaid cards won’t be accepted for payment)
    • A soft credit check is required if you use a debit card

  • If you have a vehicle breakdown or are involved in an accident, call 911 as required. You should obtain a police report for an accident. Then call Avis Roadside Service at 888-996-8237 for assistance with disabled vehicles.

  • For warning light indicators, please contact Avis Roadside Service at 888-996-8237.

  • For non-safety issues with the vehicle, please return to the Avis rental location where you picked up the vehicle.
