  • To rent a car from one of our vehicle solutions partners to earn with Uber, you’ll first need to sign up to drive with Uber. Next, you can visit this site to see which vehicle offers are available in your city. Once you’ve selected the option that best suits your needs, follow the vehicle partner’s instructions to reserve and pick up your rental car.

  • Typically, the rental cost will vary depending on how long you want to keep the car. To find an affordable car to rent by the hour, the week, or longer and more information about pricing through one of our vehicle partners, go to this site.

  • We launched our Vehicle Marketplace program many years ago to help drivers without access to a qualifying car find an opportunity to earn with Uber. We’ve now partnered with Getaround, Hertz, Avis, and others so that drivers can get a ready-to-go car at a low commitment. Once you’ve identified the rental offer that best suits your needs, you’ll complete the booking directly with the vehicle partner. Afterward, return the car based on the vehicle partner’s instructions when it’s time.

  • No. But we initially started the Vehicle Marketplace program to help drivers without a qualifying vehicle have an opportunity to earn with Uber. Since its launch, the offers from our vehicle partners have evolved to help suit the needs of drivers. These vehicle partners in the US offer eligible drivers the opportunity to rent either by the hour, the week, or longer.

  • The amount of money you pay upfront depends on the vehicle partner from which you rent. When you rent with Hertz weekly, you’ll pay a refundable $200 security deposit. With Getaround, no deposit is required when renting.

  • Uber vehicle partners offer car rentals to drivers in most major cities across the US. Visit this site or our partnership pages to see if these vehicle partners have rental offers in your city.

  • Since your rental agreement will be directly with one of our vehicle partners, it’s best to contact the company you rent from directly to understand its cancellation policies.

  • All rental offers come with either insurance or the option to purchase insurance. Depending on which rental offers are available in your city, you can choose one that includes insurance.

  • Drivers are only allowed to drive rental vehicles that are part of an approved partnership in order to earn with Uber. Driving an unapproved rental car may result in deactivation from the Uber platform. To see currently available and approved rental options through our vehicle partners, visit this site.

  • If you’re listed as an insured party on someone else's vehicle insurance plan and that car meets Uber’s vehicle requirements, you may use that vehicle to earn with Uber.
