Making earning even easier
Get the option to block riders
Now you can take more control of your experience by choosing to block riders whom you rate with 2 or 3 stars. Once you block a rider, you’ll no longer receive requests from them. The app already automatically blocks you from receiving trip requests from any riders whom you rate with one star.
Enjoy faster, more precise pickups
Our latest map update features more real-world details to help you and riders find each other faster. Riders will now get more-accurate walking directions to pickup spots, including street-level details in pickup areas such as crosswalks, walking paths, and more.
Keep an eye out for Uber Business Black trips
We’re launching an additional type of trip—Uber Business Black—for riders who are using their business profile. If you’re eligible for Uber Black trips, you may now also see requests for Uber Business Black.
Know you’ve got the right order with QR codes
To help avoid delivery mixups, we’ve added the ability to scan a QR code at select locations to confirm that the order you pick up is the one you’re supposed to deliver. Simply point your phone, scan the code, and deliver with confidence.
Enjoy an easier pickup experience at select restaurants
You’ll now be notified when orders are ready for pickup so that you don’t lose time or need to ask restaurant staff. This feature is currently available at Chick-fil-A and expanding to other merchants soon.*

Get a clearer breakdown of weekly customer fares
This view shows where every dollar a rider pays is going. You’ll see what percentage goes where, from take-home pay to fees and government-mandated commercial auto insurance, all in the app.

Know where to go after dropoff
Avoid making a wrong turn at the start of a trip with new route previews. You’ll now see a portion of your dropoff route as you approach the pickup point, to help you never miss a turn.
Report speed enforcement
Soon you and fellow drivers and couriers will be able to report speed cameras, police presence, and other speed enforcements. Once one of these is reported by a driver, other drivers approaching it will be able to see and confirm its location.
