Amplify your voice with Uber Crew

Whether you bring people food or help them get home safely, you keep your communities moving. And you know your work better than anyone.

That’s why we’ve launched Uber Crew, a program that lets you choose other drivers and couriers in your state to share your thoughts with Uber.

Your Crew Member will spotlight your concerns and feedback while working closely with decision-makers at Uber to help inform and improve new products. By participating in the Crew program, you can help us give drivers and couriers everywhere a better way to make their voices heard.

With Uber Crew, we collaborate together.

What Crew Members do

Crew Members are in contact with Uber nearly every week volunteering their time to:

  • Meet with local drivers and delivery people over video or phone to discuss local issues
  • Raise local issues to Uber’s regional teams

  • Collaborate with Uber’s product teams on new app features

  • Provide feedback and ideas on new projects

Crew Members should be available for roughly 50 hours over 12 months (time is voluntary, but we anticipate you will get out of it what you put into it).

Frequently asked questions

  • Last year, Uber committed to changing the way we listen to drivers and couriers. Uber committed to doing better at acting on your feedback and empowering you with greater representation. Uber Crew is a step in that direction.

Uber Crew is a new program that gives you the chance to choose a driver or courier to collaborate with Uber and improve the transparency into how Uber uses your feedback. As the people who drive and deliver, you know your work better than we ever could. That’s why your feedback is so important.

With Crew, you can help select other drivers and couriers near you to raise issues to Uber’s decision-makers and collaborate with us on features and improvements. By participating in Uber Crew, you can help us give drivers and couriers everywhere a better way to make their voices heard.

  • Chosen by you, a Crew Member is a driver or courier who will speak on behalf of other drivers and couriers in your local community.

  • Your Crew Member will gather your feedback, suggestions, and ideas and provide them to Uber staff in order to help improve the overall experience for drivers and couriers in your area.

  • It’s important that you have a sufficient level of experience and familiarity with the Uber platform in order to be informed in the forum setting. Therefore, to be eligible for selection, you must meet the below criteria at the time of application:

    • Have completed at least 150 trips (including rides and deliveries) or must have been earning on the platform for at least one year
    • Have completed at least one trip in the last 30 days
    • Account is in an active status
    • Must complete the entire application, including the video application section
  • Crew Members are drivers and couriers who use the Driver app, like yourself. They will be selected by you to represent your state. They are not employees of Uber, and Uber will not be involved in the selection process.

  • We will share information for the designated Crew Members in your state, and you'll be able to reach out to them through a portal managed by Street Level Strategy, here.

  • The program is currently live in the US. Currently there are a total of 62 Crew Members.

  • Crew Members are active for a 12 month period.

  • We expect that a Crew Member will likely spend approximately 50 hours over 12 months.

  • The program is live in the US only at this time.

  • Please contact Street Level Strategy at ubercrewportal.com/help with any questions that you may have about the program, application, or selection process.

*The Uber Crew program’s application and selection process will be managed by Street Level Strategy, a third-party company not affiliated with Uber. Other than your phone number and invite code, no details of your application will be shared with Uber.
