Vehicle requirements

Mankato
Does your vehicle qualify to drive with Uber? Most four-door cars do, but requirements vary by vehicle option.

Minimum requirements

  • Partner must be 21 years of age or older
  • 15-year-old vehicle or newer
  • 4-door car, SUV or minivan
  • Good condition with no cosmetic damage
  • No commercial branding

Insurance

All partners must maintain their own insurance policy in accordance with state and local laws. In addition, Uber maintains automobile liability insurance on behalf of all U.S. partners.

License Plate with Non-Expired Tags

Uber accepts both a picture of your license plate with non-expired tags or the 21 day temporary permit for your license plate.

Please note that you will need to upload a picture of your permanent license plate once you receive it if you upload the temporary permit.

A photo of vehicle registration, vehicle title, application for vehicle title, and bill of sale will also qualify. The vehicle does not need to be registered in your name.
