Vehicle inspection requirements
To drive with Uber in Regina, your vehicle must pass an inspection at a certified vehicle inspection station and receive a Mechanical Safety Inspection Certificate with a Light Vehicle Inspection Certificate.
Important: Check to make sure your mechanic is licenced by SGI and can issue a Mechanical Safety Inspection Certificate' for light vehicles. Please note that Uber does not cover the cost of the inspection or any repairs and maintenance needed to pass an inspection.
To find a MPI-approved mechanic near you, check SGI's list of certifed vehicle inspection stations. Make sure you select 'Light vehicle' in the 'Inspection type' dropdown menu.

After you pass, upload a clear photo of the completed vehicle inspection form to your profile. Keep your form in your vehicle while online, or you risk paying hefty fines!
