Choose your delivery times in advance and make the most of your time with Planner.

Use it to reserve time in advance, giving you guaranteed access to go online for deliveries during those times and helping you plan a more predictable week.

Prioritized access according to your Uber Eats Pro status

Your Uber Eats Pro¹ status determines when you can reserve time. New times open each week, so you can start planning up to seven days ahead.

Green couriers can reserve beginning Fridays at 10am local time.

Gold couriers get advance booking and can reserve beginning Thursdays at 10am local time.

Platinum and Diamond couriers can go online anytime, anywhere, without reserving time.

A higher Uber Eats Pro status can give you more flexibility and access to greater earning opportunities. You may unlock more times, get higher priority to go online, and qualify for higher-paying deliveries.

How to use Planner

  1. Open Planner in your Driver app
  2. Check out the available times and choose your preferred day, time, and delivery zone
  3. When your selected hours turn green, your reservation is confirmed

If you don’t see any open times, keep checking Planner during the week or come back when they open for your status.

How to use the offline zones heatmap

The offline zones heatmap is color-coded based on demand. Higher-demand zones may give you a better chance of getting offers.

Red: Very busy
Orange: Busy
Yellow: Less busy

Green and Gold couriers can go online instantly in any of these zones.

Gray: At capacity

Green and Gold couriers need to reserve time in Planner for gray zones. Platinum and Diamond couriers can go online without a reservation.

Availability can change, so make sure to check Planner often to see if any times have re-opened.

What to do when time is not available

Green and Gold couriers can go online right away in red, orange, or yellow zones. Gray zones are currently at capacity and require a reservation in Planner.

Managing your reserved time

Plans change, and that’s okay. You can update your reserved time. Here’s how:

  1. Open Planner in the Driver app
  2. Deselect your reserved times so they're no longer green

Tip: If your plans change, canceling unused reserved time helps keep availability accurate for other couriers.

Frequently asked questions

Have questions about Planner? Get answers about reservations, zones, and more.

How do I reserve times in Planner?

Open the Uber Driver app side menu and tap Planner. Select your preferred date and delivery zone—zones are listed across the top. If you don’t see any open times, keep checking Planner during the week or come back when times open for your status.

Tap to select a time, and tap again to remove it if needed. When the time turns green, it means it's selected. Tap the X in the corner when you’re done.

Can I accept deliveries outside of my starting zone?

Yes. Your reserved zone is where you need to be if you wish to go online and start earning. Once online, you may get delivery requests that take you to other zones, and you can complete trips as usual.

How much time can I reserve?

The amount of hours you can reserve varies depending on availability. Keep checking Planner during the week or come back when times open for your Uber Eats Pro status.

What happens after my time ends?

If it’s busy enough, you can continue staying online even after your time ends. If there are enough couriers in your zone, the app may take you offline. Couriers with higher Uber Eats Pro status are prioritized to stay online.

What happens if I do not show up during my reserved time?

We know sometimes things come up and you can’t make it to your reserved time. However, your times will be released and made available to other couriers in the area.

What happens if there are no available times in my zone?

Check the offline zones heatmap for busy zones where you can go online now. Gold couriers are prioritized to go online first when demand increases.

How can I have unlimited access to go online?

Platinum and Diamond couriers can go online anytime, anywhere—no reservation needed.

A higher Uber Eats Pro status also comes with additional perks, access to more Exclusive delivery requests, priority matching on Trip Radar and more.

²Gold, Platinum, and Diamond couriers get priority access to higher-paying Uber Eats restaurant deliveries as compared to Green couriers. The determination of higher paying deliveries is based on expected payment as determined at the time the customer places the order (and is inclusive of tip designated by the customer at time order is placed). Priority access is not a guarantee of higher earnings or the amount of delivery requests eligible couriers will receive. Tips are subject to customer discretion. Restaurant deliveries made via channels other than Uber Eats (e.g., Uber Direct), and non restaurant deliveries (e.g., grocery orders) are excluded from Preferred Deliveries.
