東京でUberがテスト運行を開始して、はや2週間。多くの方にご利用いただきありがとうございます。皆様にご乗車いただき、いろいろなご質問やアイデアをいただいています。そこで、まずはUberの魅力、またお客様、パートナー企業様、また都市にとってのメリットをブログでもたっぷりご紹介したいと思います。

Uberは2010年の夏サンフランシスコでスタートしたスマートフォンを使った、安全で、利便性が高く、スタイリッシュな配車サービスを展開する企業です。現時点では20カ国・60都市以上で展開をしています。お客様、パートナー企業様、都市にとって、もっと利便性の高いサービスと移動の機会を提供することをミッションとしています。日本では、2013年11月14日から六本木エリアを中心にテスト運行を開始しました。

Uberの料金設定、領収書等について

ご利用料金についても独自の料金体系を持っています。

東京での最低料金は800円。そのうち、開始料金は100円。１分ごとに65円、1kmごとに300円が加算されます。（注：もし開始料金と1分ごと、1kmごとの料金合計が800円以下の場合も、最低料金の800円をご請求させていただいています。）そして、領収書は降車後、全てメールですぐにお送りしています。ご料金や対応エリアなどに関しては、uber.com/tokyoをご覧ください。

It has been over two weeks since Uber began its testing phase in Tokyo and we’re thankful for everyone who has given our service a try. There’s been a lot of interest since secret Ubers arrived and we wanted to take this opportunity to explain what Uber is and why we believe our technology can benefit Tokyo, including riders, transportation providers, and the broader community.

Uber launched in San Francisco in the summer of 2010 with the goal of providing safe, stylish, and convenient transportation with the tap of a smartphone app. Since that time we’ve expanded to more than 60 cities in 20 countries with the mission of making urban areas more accessible while opening up more possibilities for riders and more business for drivers.

What is Uber?

Uber provides a platform between customers and partner transportation companies. The customers receive a convenient and cashless ride and partner companies can provide reliable, high-end black cars to Uber users. It’s important to note that Uber neither owns cars nor employs drivers.

Uber’s price structure and invoice/receipt

Uber has its own price structure.

The minimum charge in Tokyo is JYP 800, and within the price, it contains base fee at JPY100, and JPY65/hour and JPY 300/1km. (Note: If the overall price is under JPY800, we will charge JPY 800). A detailed receipt will be emailed to you automatically when the ride is complete.
