Broadening our reach: introducing the final cohort of recipients of the Uber Transit Innovation Fund

In Spring 2026, we launched the Uber Transit Innovation Fund with the aim of supporting innovative public transit agencies, municipalities, and regional authorities in the US with up to $50,000 in funding. 

Our third and final cohort of awardees includes 16 transit agencies, bringing the final total of funding awarded to $2.41M, more than doubling our initial investment. 

With this inaugural fund, we’ve supported 51 transit agencies; a demonstration of our ongoing, steadfast commitment to public transit. From offering weekend service in Erie, Colorado to first-mile/last-mile connections in Brockton, Massachusetts; it’s our pleasure to support these projects that bridge gaps and build more connected communities. 

We extend our sincere gratitude to all organizations that submitted proposals to this fund. We’re looking forward to creating even more opportunities in the future to support transit agencies, municipalities, and regional authorities in innovating public transit and expanding with on-demand rideshare.
