Getting your MOT approved
Follow these steps to ensure that your MOT Certificate is approved by our team and to avoid any time off the road.
Step 1. Check your document is correct
We require you to submit a valid MOT Certificate.
IMPORTANT: MOTs for private hire vehicles are only valid for 6 months. It will be REJECTED, if 6 months has passed since the issue date on your MOT.
NOTE: If your PHV licence was issued within the first year of your vehicle's life, you will not need to submit an MOT.
Step 2. Confirm the details on your document are correct
The vehicle registration must match the vehicle on your profile. PRO TIP! If you are submitting a document for a NEW vehicle, be sure to click on the '+ADD VEHICLE' button in the top right of the vehicles tab on your Partner Dashboard. The vehicle make and model must match the vehicle on your profile. We will not accept the your MOT if the word 'DANGEROUS' appears in the advisory notes.
Step 3. Take a good photo of your document
Make sure that ALL FOUR BORDERS of the document are visible in the photo. If we cannot see the whole page, your document will be rejected. The photo must also NOT be blurry. The following MUST also be visible in the photo: The DVSA logo in the top left 'MOT Test Certificate' in the top right.
IMPORTANT! The number one reason that documents are rejected is because the photo is not clear or does not show all four page borders. Make sure this doesn't happen to you!
