Activate your vehicle
In Colorado, all drivers using Uber must pass a vehicle inspection before taking their first trip. This inspection may be performed by a licensed third-party mechanic in your area.
Get inspected by a third-party inspection center
1. Download an inspection form
Colorado law requires Uber partners to pass a vehicle inspection once a year. Many inspection centers in Fort Collins have forms available, but you may want to bring one just in case.
2. Find an inspection center near you
Most auto mechanics in the Fort Collins area are certified to perform Uber vehicle inspections. Check the map below for a location near you!
Passed Inspection forms from other rideshare companies may also be accepted.
Note that Uber does not cover inspection costs when performed by a third-party mechanic.
3. Upload the completed form
Once you pass, upload the form and receipt to your account. Uber does not cover repairs or maintenance to pass an inspection.
