We’re excited to welcome the founding members of Charleston’s UberVIP (“Very Important Partner”) program today, January 13, 2017.

This program aims to recognize partners who have gone above and beyond in moving their community with top-notch professionalism and service.

Partners who have achieved UberVIP status for the first quarter of 2017 (January–March) demonstrated excellence by meeting the following eligibility criteria throughout the fourth quarter of 2016 (October–December):

• Maintaining a minimum rating of 4.7 stars or higher
• Averaging 35 hours per week on the road (measured on a monthly basis)
• Completing a minimum of 210 trips per month

CUSTOM SWAG:
Uber glow sign

To help set them apart from the crowd, this first round of UberVIPs will receive light-up “UBER” signs that can be displayed in their vehicle. We’ll follow up directly via email letting UberVIPs know the times they’ll be able to pick up their glow signs from the local Charleston Greenlight Spot the week of January 16.

PRIZES & GIVEAWAYS:
Tickets to the Charleston Wine + Food Festival

All partners who qualified as UberVIPs for the first quarter of 2017 will automatically be entered into a VIP-only raffle to win a pair of tickets to the Charleston Wine + Food Festival taking place in early March. We will reach out to the winner directly via email towards the end of February, and will also post the raffle results in the Charleston UberVIP Facebook group.

COMMUNITY ACCESS:
UberVIP Facebook group

UberVIPs will be granted special access to a private VIP-only Facebook group moderated by Uber South Carolina city managers. Featuring live chats, AMAs, general announcements, and more, the group is a one-stop shop to stay up to date on all things VIP.

Current UberVIPs will receive a link via email the week of January 16 to request access to the Charleston UberVIP Facebook group. As an UberVIP there is no obligation to join the group. Only partners who are qualified for the current period of UberVIP will be granted access, and membership of the group will be updated every three months to reflect current qualified VIPs.

STATUS SYMBOL:
SPECIAL WINDOW DECAL

Each round of UberVIPs will receive a special “UberVIP” window decal to proudly display in their vehicle, letting riders know they are in good hands. These decals will also be available for pickup from the Charleston Greenlight Spot during the week of January 16 (times to be emailed directly).
