Driver rides on UberSEAPLANE during Miami Art Week

A few weeks ago, we asked drivers to submit tips on driving during Miami Art Week for the chance to win a special surprise. The entries were great, making our choice very difficult – however, one especially stood out for its simplicity and applicability to all events. Submitted, by Brian G. the winning quote was to “let riders know that you are stuck in traffic, be patient on the roads with the pedestrians and always be kind and friendly to the riders – after all, they are here to have fun!”

So what did he win? An exclusive chance to ride on the first ever UberSEAPLANE!

Last Friday we took flight with Brian – and what a treat it was. Having lived in Miami for over 45 years, Brian ended up being the one to give the pilot and us the grand tour! Once we took flight from the Miami Seaplane Base, after a ride on UberBOAT from Sea Isle Marina, Brian started to share bits of Miami history that none of us knew.

For example, he shared the history of Stiltsville, especially about how it used to be the popular place to hang out when he was younger – who knew Key Biscayne was so hopping! Once the tour was over, Brian commented “That was a smooth landing! I’ll give you 5 stars!” What was initially planned as a treat for Brian ended up being treat for all of us on the plane – an awesome double 5-star experience.
