Together on the road to zero emissions
Uber changed the way the world moves. And we’re committed to changing the way the world moves forward. That’s why we’re announcing our commitment to becoming a zero-emission platform in US and Canadian cities as well as in major global cities where we can ensure a fair transition for drivers, by 2030—a goal that can only be achieved by working together.
Helping you go electric
Drivers like you are leading the way toward a greener future, and Uber is committed to supporting you. That’s why we’re launching the Green Future program, to provide access to resources valued at $800 million to help hundreds of thousands of drivers like you transition to battery electric vehicles (EVs) by 2025.
If you’re thinking about making the switch, here are some ways we can help you:
Zero Emissions incentive
Drivers of fully electric vehicles are eligible for the Zero Emissions incentive, which lets them earn an extra $1 on every Uber trip (up to $4,000 annually).¹ The incentive is available for a limited time only in the US and Canada.
Uber Green is a new low-emission ride option. If you drive an EV on the Uber platform, you’re automatically opted in to Uber Green. On each Uber Green trip, you’ll earn an extra $0.50, which is paid by riders when they select Uber Green as their ride option.² This $0.50 is in addition to your extra earnings from the Zero Emissions incentive.
