Earnings
Here's how your fare is calculated
For every delivery, you get a base fare (for time, distance, pickup and dropoff) plus trip supplement, promotions and/or tolls if available. Customer tips are extra.
Pro tips
Instant pay
You will receive your earnings via direct deposit every Thursday for the previous Monday-Monday of delivering with Uber. You can also make every day a payday with Instant Pay.
Understand incentives and promotions

Deliver with a vehicle and bike
Requirements to deliver in Washington D.C.
Requirements for drivers
- At least 19 years old
- Have a 2-door or 4-door car made 1999 or after
- Have a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance and vehicle registration
Requirements for cyclists
- At least 18 years old
- Have a state-issued ID
- When signing up be sure to choose 'Biking' under transportation method.
Scooter requirements
- At least 19 years old
- Have a motorized scooter under 50cc
- Have a valid driver's license, scooter registration, and vehicle insurance
- When signing up be sure to choose 'Deliver with a Scooter' under transportation method.
Tipping
Great service deserves to be rewarded
Uber Eats customers have the option to tip in-app after the delivery is made. 100% of the tips are yours to keep —zero service fees applied, always. Tipping is now available to all U.S. and Canadian delivery partners.
