Introducing new marketing features to grow your business this holiday season
December 7, 2023 / US
On any given day, restaurant operators are tending to multiple responsibilities at the same time: managing employees, overseeing operations, and satisfying customers across channels. This balancing act can become even more challenging over the holidays.
Research from the National Restaurant Association shows that 77% of consumers planned to address their own needs during the end-of-year holidays in 2022 by letting restaurants do some of their cooking, and 50% planned to order delivery or takeout for an event at home.
This presents a clear growth opportunity for your restaurant. The trick is making sure you can meet the moment as effortlessly as possible. That’s why our team has designed a new set of marketing tools to help you gain deeper insights into your business and increase your sales in a more scalable, efficient way. Shine a little brighter this holiday season with the 4 new features in Uber Eats Manager (UEM) below.
1. Holiday happy hours
For a limited time during the holidays, you can run daily specials during off-peak hours (2-5pm local time) in a curated Happy Hour section of your menu.* Whether you’re known for pies and chocolate chip cookies or you expect deal-craving consumers to purchase casseroles and family-size sides, you can attract new customers and increase order sizes by creating timely discounts throughout December.
To offer holiday happy hour specials, navigate to the Marketing tab in UEM to get started.
2. Multi-location offers
Today, nearly 50% of restaurants using UEM manage multiple locations through the platform. Now, with multi-location offers, restaurants with up to 200 locations can create marketing campaigns for multiple storefronts in just a few steps—providing you with a hassle-free way to maximize your reach during the holidays.
To apply multi-location offers, navigate to the Marketing tab in UEM and select any of the 3 promotions that apply to the order level: Percent Off, Spend More Save More, and $0 Delivery Fee. Then select all the stores where you want to launch the offer. You can easily search by store name or address to find the locations you’re looking for.
3. Percent Off offers
With Percent Off offers, you now have the ability to offer a percentage off your entire store.** This new offer type allows customers to apply discounts to any part of your menu—encouraging them to spend more and generate larger orders.
To apply Percent Off offers, navigate to the Marketing tab in UEM and select Percent Off.
4. Personalized marketing recommendations
For even the most experienced marketers, the process of reviewing campaign data and making campaign optimizations can be time-consuming. The new marketing recommendations feature in UEM removes the guesswork from this process by presenting you with personalized advice on which type of marketing campaign to run in the future.
To receive personalized marketing recommendations, navigate to the Marketing tab in UEM. There, you can see an analysis of your current campaigns and recommendations for new opportunities based on your business goals.

“The holidays can often be a busy and stressful time for restaurants, who balance demand from hurried shoppers, seasonal parties, and large family orders. Our team has been hard at work creating important new tools and offer types to help restaurants maximize their sales and reach more customers.”
Manas Mittal, Senior Director of Product Management, Uber
