David—Uber DFW All-Star Partner

August 7, 2017 / Dallas

Every day, Uber driver-partners do a tremendous job getting riders around DFW safely. This summer, we’re teaming up with the Texas Rangers to recognize “All-Star” drivers. Throughout the course of the baseball season, riders can nominate their favorite drivers, by leaving an “All Star” Compliment for their driver.

Congratulations to David, a Dallas driver, with more than 3,500 trips and maintains a 4.96 rating! David was extremely committed to winning the All-Star prize package and even went so far as printing out business cards from FedEx Office to give out to riders asking “Do you think I am an All-Star driver?” with instructions on how to nominate him. He received over 200 nominations and beat out thousands of other drivers to win the June competition. The package included two Texas Rangers tickets for David and his fiancée, JoAnn, the ability to view batting practice, an autographed baseball, a personalized Jersey (he chose his nickname, “Kiwi”), and a free dinner at the Jack Daniel’s club.

Thank you note from David:

I just wanted to send you and the Uber DFW Team a note of thanks for giving me and my fiancée JoAnn a fun night out at the Rangers game!

Whenever I asked people for a nomination for this prize I’d tell them it was because I wanted to treat my fiancée, and that was exactly the way it turned out.

We were met at the gate by Megan from the Rangers team, she took us to the field and we watched our team in batting practice, then she took us to the Jack Daniel’s Club for a sumptuous dinner. After which we found our seats and watched the game. The only downside was the 4-0 loss to the Marlins… but it didn’t matter because we had a fabulous time!

I just wish I could thank all my riders who nominated me for this prize!

Please extend my thanks to the Uber team. I look forward to the next competition!

Best wishes,

David

Be on the lookout for our next Uber All-Star winner on August 10th—they’ll win everything previously mentioned but on top of that, they will get to throw the first pitch at the game!
