DART and UberPool
Uber has partnered with DART to help make taking public transportation easier and more affordable for riders in Dallas. With this partnership, riders will get up to 2 free UberPool rides per day in eligible areas to or from an eligible DART station,* and drivers will receive UberX fares for UberPool trips in eligible areas, plus 50 cents for each pickup added to a trip.** Terms apply, including time and location restrictions.
How to use UberPool
Riders
When you request a ride with UberPool your app may match you with up to 2 other riders heading in the same direction.
Drivers
With UberPool, riders heading in the same direction can choose to share a ride. UberPool will be available in select areas surrounding certain DART stations—you can navigate to these areas if you wish to receive UberPool requests.
1. Receive an UberPool request
When you get a request, you’ll see an indicator in the Driver app that the rider has selected UberPool, which means they’ve chosen to share their ride with other riders.
2. Pick up first rider
Drive to the first pickup address and start the 2-minute countdown timer when you arrive at your location. If your rider does not arrive within 2 minutes, you may cancel the trip and select rider no-show in the app. To view the rider’s cancellation fee, tap Fares on your dashboard.
3. Receive an additional UberPool request
While driving to your rider’s destination, you may get another request added to your UberPool trip. Navigation will be updated automatically. This pickup may happen before the other rider is dropped off.
4. Drop off riders
The order of pickup and dropoffs is based on the route and where your riders are heading. Drop off riders in the order that the app displays. Once you’ve dropped off all riders, you may assign a rating to each rider.
Eligible UberPool areas
In addition to free rides on eligible routes to and from select DART stations*, riders can also take advantage of $3 UberPool rides on routes within the select service areas* below.
Rylie & Kleberg
Rides in these zones are available to or from Buckner Station on Monday through Friday between 5am and 8pm.
Legacy, Far North Plano, and North Central Plano
Rides in this zone are available to or from Parker Road Station on Monday through Friday between 5am and 8pm.
Inland Port
Rides in this zone are available to or from the UNT Dallas Station on Monday through Friday between 5am and 8pm as well as Saturday and Sunday between 5am and 8am and 5pm and 8pm.
Rowlett
Rides in this zone are available to or from the Downtown Rowlett Station Monday through Friday between 5am and 8:30pm.
Farmers Branch
Rides in this zone are available to or from Farmers Branch Station on Monday through Friday between 5am and 9pm. Rides may also be taken within the Farmer Branch zone during these hours for $3.
Glenn Heights
Rides in this zone are available to or from the Glenn Heights Park & Ride and to or from UNT Dallas Station on Monday through Friday between 5:15am and 7:30pm. Rides may also be taken within the Glenn Heights zone during these hours for $3.
Lake Highlands
Rides in this zone are available to or from White Rock Station and to or from Lake Highlands Station on Monday through Friday between 5:30am and 8:30pm. Rides may also be taken within the Lake Highlands zone during these hours for $3.
Lakewood
Rides in this zone are available to or from Mockingbird Station White Rock Station on Monday through Friday between 5:30am and 8pm. Rides may also be taken within the Lakewood zone during these hours for $3.
North Dallas
Rides in this zone are available to or from Walnut Hill Station on Monday through Friday between 6am and 7:30pm. Rides may also be taken within the North Dallas zone during these hours for $3.
Park Cities
Rides in this zone are available to or from Mockingbird Station on Monday through Friday between 6:25am and 6:25pm. Rides may also be taken within the Park Cities Zone during these hours for $3.
South Irving
Rides in this zone are available to or from Downtown Irving / Heritage Cross Transit Center on Monday through Friday between 5:00 am and 8:00 pm. Rides may also be taken within the South Irving Zone during these hours for $3. In addition, the Kroger at 515 S MacArthur Blvd, Dallas College Irving Center at 1081 W Shady Grove Rd, and Shady Grove Plaza Shopping Center at 2208 W Shady Grove Rd. are considered part of the GoLink South Irving Zone (see map). Trips between these locations and the rest of the South Irving zone may be accessed for $3.
Southeast Garland
Rides in this zone are available to or from Lake Ray Hubbard Transit Center on Monday through Friday between 5:30 am and 7:00 pm. Rides may also be taken within the Southeast Garland Zone during these hours for $3. In addition, the Walmart Supercenter 555 W Interstate 30, Garland, TX 75043, and Krogers 532 W Interstate 30, Garland, TX 75043 are considered part of the GoLink Southeast Garland zone (see map). Trips between these locations and the rest of the Southeast Garland zone may be accessed for $3.
Western Carrollton
Rides in this zone are available to or from Downtown Carrollton Station on Monday through Friday between 5:30 am and 7:00 pm. Rides may also be taken within the Western Carrollton Zone during these hours for $3..
*Offers are available to UberPool riders in eligible zones on the days and times detailed above. Eligible riders may receive the following: 1) Up to 2 free UberPool trips per day that go to or from an eligible DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) station and 2) Up to 2 $3 UberPool trips per day to and from locations within the eligible zone. Once a rider inputs an eligible UberPool trip into the Uber app, the UberPool option will reflect the applicable special offer. The $0 and $3 UberPool offers are not transferable and are only available for a limited time. The offers and terms are subject to change or withdrawal at any time, and without notice.
**UberPool trips will be available to driver-partners during select times and in eligible zones surrounding DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) stations. Driver-partners will receive UberX fares for each UberPool trip, plus 50 cents for each additional pickup. UberPool is available Monday through Friday during the following times: 5am – 8pm CT for the Rylie, Kleberg, Legacy, South Irving, Far North Plano, and North Central Plano zones; 5am – 8:30pm CT for the Rowlett zone; 5am – 9:00pm CT in Farmers Branch zone; 5:15am – 7:30pm CT in Glen Heights zones; 5:30am – 7pm CT in West Carrolton and SE Garland zones; 5:30a – 8:00pm CT Lakewood zone; 5:30a – 8:30pm CT in Lake Highlands zone; 6am – 7:30pm CT in the North Dallas to Walnut HIll zone; and 6:25am – 6:25pm in the Park Cities zone.
Both offers are also available Saturday and Sunday, 5pm – 8pm CT, in the Inland Port zone. The offer and terms are subject to change.
