Busy locations

The Uber app works right across the greater Brisbane area, including Moreton Bay in the north, Ipswich in the west, Logan in the south and the Redlands in the east. You can check the full service area here.

You are welcome to go online anywhere within the service area, however, there are some areas that are typically busier than others. To increase your chance of receiving regular trip requests we suggest that you go online in the busier areas.

The CBD, Fortitude Valley, and surrounding inner city suburbs are generally the best areas to situate yourself to increase your chance of receiving trip requests. We recommend heading to where locals and tourists are often located; entertainment precincts, bars, pubs, restaurants, stadiums, shopping centers, transit stations, and the Airport.

Driver-partners based in Brisbane are also able to drive in any other Queensland city where Uber operates; including the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Cairns, and Townsville. You can simply go online as you normally would in your home city.

Busiest times

Driver-partners are able to go online 24/7 however, most driver-partners can increase their fares by driving during busier times, particularly during peak hours and on weekends.

In Brisbane trips request occur right across the week, however, the busiest times are typically on the weekends. In particular between 5 pm - 2 am on Friday and Saturday nights. The chart gives you a visual indicator of the busiest times of the week and the potential earnings during those times.

We also recommend keeping up to date with local events and updates. Some major events will be communicated through your Driver App or in newsletters, so be sure to keep an eye out!
