RAP gives eligible riders another convenient option for trips that are easier to take on-demand, while allowing you to continue using your traditional ADA service whenever they work best.
How much does it cost?
For eligible RAP trips:
- You pay: $3.25 per ride
- Pace pays: Up to $30 toward the trip fare
You'll only pay for overages if your trip exceeds $30 in total fare or if you choose to add a driver tip.

Frequently asked questions
Can I still use ADA Paratransit if I enroll in RAP?
Yes. Enrolling in RAP does not affect your eligibility for Pace's traditional ADA Paratransit service. You can choose the transportation option that best meets your needs for each trip.
How many subsidized rides do I receive?
Eligible riders receive up to 30 subsidized Uber rides per month via Uber Vouchers. Riders who apply and are approved for an increase may receive up to 40 rides per month.
What is an Uber voucher?
An Uber voucher is the digital subsidy Pace provides for your RAP rides. Once your RAP enrollment is approved, the voucher is added to your Uber account and is automatically applied to eligible trips, there's no coupon code or paper voucher required. You can learn more in Uber's Beginner's Guide to Uber Vouchers.
What if my trip costs more than $30?
You'll pay a $3.25 rider copay for eligible RAP trips. If your total trip fare exceeds $30, you'll also be responsible for the portion of the fare above the $30 Pace subsidy, as well as any applicable reservation fees and optional driver tips.
Can I bring a personal care attendant, companion, or service animal?
Yes. Personal care attendants, companions, and service animals are welcome. When requesting your ride, be sure to choose a vehicle with enough seating for everyone in your party. Service animals are permitted to accompany you at no additional charge, in accordance with Uber's Service Animal Denial Policy.
Can I schedule rides in advance?
Yes. You can request a ride on demand or reserve an eligible Uber ride in advance (reservation fees may apply).
What if I don't own a smartphone and I still use RAP?
If you have a text-enabled mobile phone, you can set up an Uber account and request a ride by calling 1-833-USE-UBER (1-833-873-8237). You must call from the phone number associated with your Uber account.
