Uber Driven Women in Los Angeles

Women who partner with Uber are truly inspiring. These entrepreneurs and small-business owners are doing it all: working, mothering, caregiving, going to school, volunteering, pursuing hobbies and second jobs, giving back to their communities, and so much more.

Uber has committed to onboarding one million women to the Uber platform by 2020, and that starts right in our own community. That’s why we were thrilled to host an event in Los Angeles to empower women to ‘be their own boss’ on the Uber platform as well as in their other business endeavors. Female driver partners have the flexibility to work their own hours and be in the driver’s seat when it comes to their earning potential.

Yesterday’s event brought together hundreds of female driver-partners across Southern California, local women-owned small businesses, and women interested in learning more about partnering with Uber. We talked about being your own boss, work-life balance, and professional opportunities for women in Los Angeles. We also enjoyed light snacks, beverages, and live music!

Check out what some of our Uber Driven Women had to say:

Roxie | Westchester, CA

“Being in a room with such like-minded women gives me so much positive energy to keep going and push harder.”

Becki and Paige | Los Angeles, CA

“I’m saving up for my 30th birthday in Vegas.” – Becki

“I love having the freedom to be productive with my time.” – Paige

Theresa | Compton, CA

“The money I’m making changed everything. I now have the flexibility to spend time with my daughter.”

Thank you to the women who came out to celebrate female entrepreneurship and who inspire us everyday by delivering safe, reliable, and affordable rides.
