At Uber, we pride ourselves in having partner drivers who are transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses, and so as we gear up for Veterans Day on November 11, we felt it only appropriate to dedicate this post to all the vets!


 

Swinging Good Time | Veteran’s Day Swing Dance

To honor Baltimore County’s veterans, the B&O Railroad Museum is hosting a Swing Dance benefit on Saturday November 8th. This good old-fashioned dance party swings into gear at 7PM with musical guests, the award winning Bumper Jacksons. Not a swinger? No worries! Professional dancers will give quick dance lessons at the beginning of the night. Tickets start at $25 for individuals and $45 for couples.

Oktoberfest
The Baltimore County Veterans Day parade will take place on November 11th at 9AM to honor our local veterans. The parade processional goes from The Washington Monument in Mount Vernon down to City Hall. The parade is free and open to the public and is the perfect place for you to salute our soldiers!

 
 

O Say Can You Feel | The Reginald F. Lewis Museum

As part of the Veterans Day ceremonies at the Baltimore City War Memorial The Reginald F. Lewis Museum will be presenting a new program, “Veterans’ Day Performance of O Say Can You Feel: Stories Inspired by Our Flag.” Veterans and non-Veterans alike are welcome to join the program and share their stories of what the American flag means to them. The program will begin at 1PM.

 

Touring History | The Naval Academy

This Veterans Day weekend is the perfect time to explore Annapolis’ must see attraction, The Naval Academy. A 90-minute guided walking tour is available to the public and provides visitors with an overview of the history, culture, recreation and educational resources available onsite. Guided walking tours depart from the Armel-Leftwich Visitor Center. Tickers are $10 for adults, $9 for seniors (62+) and $8 for children.
