We want to take the chance to thank you for making 2014 such a great year and let you know that we appreciate everything you do.
Happy Holidays!
Team Uber Chicago
Meet some of the partners who’ve won!
Day 1
Vera has been a driver partner for about four months. Since she’s started, she’s gotten to enjoy meeting all types of interesting people – she once picked up the members of Arcade Fire! Although that was an exciting moment, Vera’s proudest one of 2014 was winning the Agency of the Year award at her Insurance Company where she works. She’s looking forward to an awesome 2015 and plans to drive like crazy on New Year’s Eve!
Day 2
Marisa recently started driving on the Uber platform to help her daughter pay her tuition at Northwestern University. So far, Marisa really enjoys it! She says driving on the Uber platform doesn’t feel like work – it allows her to meet nice people and explore the city. We were happy to meet Marisa before she jets off to Brazil to visit her family for the holidays!
Day 3
Paul has been a partner for the past five months, and is excited to get on the road each and every day. He’s eager to give rides to the community and move people all over Chicago, especially from Logan Square, where it has always been tough – he’s tried to hail a taxi there himself (pre-Uber of course). Paul is looking forward to the holidays and to meeting new riders in 2015!
Day 4
Our Elves were lucky to have caught Alex when he wasn’t busy studying for his GMAT because Alex’s big plans for 2015 include going to graduate school. He told us how happy he is that Uber is flexible and allows him to squeeze in plenty of studying time. We thank Alex for all his hard work, wish him the best of luck in his endeavors, and are glad we can help him accomplish his goals in the new year!
Day 5
Shahid lost his job in 2010 after suffering a heart attack. He’s very thankful for Uber and is glad it’s allowed him a flexible earning opportunity. One of his favorite Uber moments was picking up a cardiologist, who helped explain his recovery process. His goal for 2015 is to stay healthy! We’re glad we got to wish him a very happy holiday season!
