Whether in a classroom or behind a camera lens, Alex gravitates towards opportunities that allow him to connect with others. “One of the things I enjoy most is interacting with people. I get a kick out of getting people to relax and enjoy getting their photo taken. It’s fun when I can help someone laugh and get a real smile out of them.”

Alex has been a photographer since an early age. In high school, he recalls working on small projects and selling his photos online. After working at Teach For America, he decided to take the leap and start his own photography business. The first few months were filled with building his business and clientele. From photo shoots for a local magazine to wedding photos and headshots, Alex’s business has grown along with his confidence. He dreams of someday becoming a photojournalist and capturing images of the events that are changing our world.

Aside from the benefits of driving whenever he wants and supplementing his income, being an Uber partner gives Alex the opportunity to practice his personal elevator pitch. No matter what endeavor he pursues, Alex finds the greatest fulfillment in human interaction. “I enjoy working with people, and [Uber] is a natural way to continue meeting a wide variety of individuals.”
