This week we take you Behind the Wheel with Kim, one of Bexar County’s top-rated uberX driver-partners. We recently had the opportunity to catch up with her and learn a bit more about her life as an Uber partner, active-duty Airman, and Zumba instructor.
How long have you been an Uber Partner?
I have been an Uber partner for just over 6 months.
Why do you partner with Uber?
I partnered with Uber to earn extra income, but most importantly to keep drunk drivers off the road.
What is your favorite place in San Antonio you’ve discovered by driving with Uber?
My favorite place I’ve discovered is The Pearl. I had never even heard of it before becoming an Uber Partner. I’ve discovered so many places just driving around downtown. It really has helped me learn the city.
What are you currently working on when you’re not driving with Uber?
I have been in the Air Force for 20 years in September. I also teach Zumba classes.
Where do you like to spend your downtime?
I spend most of my downtime at church or church functions and out with friends. I enjoy movies, roller-skating, and time with my sweetie!
Do you have any advice for other Uber Partners?
Take pride in your city and help keep drunk drivers off the road. I’m a big supporter of MADD and urge everyone to do what you can to keep the roads safe. Uber is a great opportunity to make a difference while earning extra income.
