Frequently asked questions

  • If you have access to home charging, it’s the most effective way to lower your daily costs and increase your overall earnings. Here’s why:

    • Home charging (especially overnight, when electricity prices are lower than during the day) is cheaper than using public rapid chargers.
    • If you plug in when you go offline and start driving again with a full battery, you’ll spend more time on the road and less time waiting at stations.
  • Public charging is useful for quick charges during your time online. While the per-unit cost is higher than home charging, using a public charger allows you to stay active during busy periods.

    • Rapid chargers can add significant range in 15-30 minutes, keeping you on the road when demand is high.
    • In your Uber app, you can find charging stations with discounted pricing and nearby amenities. From the homescreen, navigate to Menu > Account > Vehicles > Connect your vehicle.
