What if my Amex Benefit isn’t enough to cover the cost of my ride or Eats order?

When Uber Cash is turned on, the Amex Benefit will be automatically applied to the cost of your ride or order. Starting November 8, 2024, an Amex Card must be selected as the payment method for your transaction to redeem the Amex Uber Cash benefit. When your Amex Benefit isn’t enough to cover the cost of the ride or order, the Card selected for the transaction will be charged the difference.
