- What is the difference between vouchers and gift cards?
Vouchers
With vouchers, you can distribute Uber credit to your team or clients while retaining control over the way they can be used (such as expiration dates, location restrictions and other parameters). That means you can choose to purchase rides or meals for specific cases, such as a specific event or within working hours.Plus, with vouchers, you pay only for the amount used, and payment occurs when the recipient redeems their voucher.
Gift cards
When you send gift cards, recipients can use the provided amount of Uber credit any way they wish on the Uber and Uber Eats apps.You pay the full gift card amount when you buy them.
- How do I create vouchers and gift cards?
You can easily create and manage vouchers and gift cards from the Uber for Business dashboard. In the left-hand sidebar, just choose Vouchers or Gift cards to get started.
- How quickly will I receive my gift cards?
Gift cards should be available for download the same day you purchase them. Check your dashboard to access your completed order. You'll also receive an email confirmation when your gift cards are ready to distribute.
- How do I send vouchers?
After you've customised and created single or bulk vouchers with parameters of your choosing, you can distribute your vouchers by email through your Uber dashboard or with a shareable link. You can also send redeem reminders to recipients as needed.
- How do I distribute gift cards?
You can purchase and send gift cards through our online tool on the dashboard. Recipients can receive their gift cards directly by email or from downloadable codes.
- How do my recipients redeem vouchers?
Recipients are informed that they have received a voucher via text message, email and/or push notification. Once accepted, the voucher is automatically added to their Uber account and applied to eligible trips or meals.
