You can always use the app to report and resolve issues that arise, but for urgent matters, the 24-hour support line is also available to both riders and drivers within the app. There will always be a trained responder ready at the other end of the line, whether you need immediate help or would just prefer to speak to a human being.

Emergency Assistance button

If you’re in a more serious situation, you can use the in-app emergency button to call authorities. The app displays your location and trip details, so you can quickly share them with emergency services.

GPS Tracking and Share Your Trip

When it comes to safety, it’s always worth making sure that someone knows where you are. Our GPS tracking makes that easier than ever: Uber will track and keep a record of your journey in case there are any problems. You can also choose to share your trip with your family and friends, so they can know where you’re headed and when you’ve arrived.

Phone Anonymisation

You might find that you need to contact a rider before or after the journey, or that they might need to contact you. For example, you might need to confirm their location, or they left something behind. The Uber app gives you an easy way to get hold of each other without giving away your phone number, so there’s no chance of unwanted calls once everything’s been resolved.
