The London EV Assistance programme is ending

What’s changing?

The EV Assistance programme is coming to an end. When this programme began, our aim was to support drivers making the switch to electric vehicles. Since 2019, we’ve helped tens of thousands of drivers switch to fully electric vehicles and save on rental or ownership costs. Over the years, we’ve been incredibly proud to help so many drivers transition to a cleaner future on the road.

Why are we closing the programme?

As most of the funds have now been paid out, we want to ensure our active EV drivers with EV Assistance remaining receive the best possible support. Therefore, if you still have EV Assistance, we are converting the remaining monthly funding into a single, upfront lump-sum payment.

How do I receive this lump sum payment?

I'm in an EV and taking trips:

  • Complete 150 EV trips in an 8-week period by 31 August 2026
  • The final lump-sum transfers will be processed automatically on 10 September 2026 for all qualifying drivers.

I am not in an EV but plan to get one:

  • You will need to switch to an EV and start taking trips
  • Complete 150 EV trips in an 8-week period by 31 August 2026
  • The final lump-sum transfers will be processed automatically on 10 September 2026 for all qualifying drivers.

I am not in an EV and do not plan to get one:

  • If you are not in a fully electric vehicle and have not completed the required trips, the EV Assistance will be reallocated to future EV initiatives to support drivers making the switch.

A Massive Thank You to Our EV Drivers

To everyone who has already taken the leap and made the switch to an electric vehicle: thank you. You didn’t just adopt new technology; you helped lead the way towards a cleaner, greener future for our roads and communities. We are incredibly proud to have partnered with you on this journey.
