bp pulse: Troubleshooting Guide

The bp pulse app is your gateway to one of the UK's largest rapid electric vehicle charging networks – with an exclusive Uber discount. However, encountering a glitch or an unexpected issue while you're parked at a bay can be incredibly frustrating.

Most hiccups are due to a few straightforward connectivity, app or authentication settings. This quick troubleshooting guide covers the most common bp pulse app issues to help you get your vehicle charging smoothly.

1. Stuck on RFID Card Order Screen

Some drivers may get stuck on the RFID card order screen during registration and be unable to continue. We’ve included what this screen looks like below.

Mobile screen to order a free bp pulse charge card via Uber, showing setup steps, benefits, and order button.

Resolution:

This issue has been resolved in the latest app version. Please update your bp pulse app via the App Store or Google Play Store. Once updated, you will be able to:

  • Order your RFID card
  • Complete registration
  • Start charging
2. RFID Card Not Received

After ordering your RFID card, delivery can take up to 14 days. If your card has not arrived:

  • Order a new RFID card through the bp pulse app
  • Mobile app screen ordering a bp pulse charge card, showing free fees, linked Amex card, and delivery address button

  • Phone screen showing bp pulse charge card options with a modal to order a new card or keep current card

  • Mobile delivery address form for a BP Pulse charge card with name fields filled and country set to United Kingdom.

  • If you still have not received an RFID card after reordering, please contact bp pulse Customer Care for support.

3. Unable to Create Account

If there is a technical issue during sign-up (e.g. no Wi-Fi connection), you may see an “Unable to create account” message.

Mobile Safari page for bp pulse × Uber shows account creation error with Try again and Leave and restart later buttons.

Resolution:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Make sure your bp pulse app is on the latest version
  • Try the registration process again
4. Unable to create account

If your Uber driver status is unable to go online on the Uber app, you may see an error during sign-up.

bp pulse × Uber signup page says user isn’t eligible, with Try again and Contact Uber support buttons.

Resolution:

  • Check you can ‘Go Online’ in your Uber Driver app
  • If you can – please try the registration process again
  • If you can’t – contact Uber Support for advice on getting your account activated for trips
  • Once you’ve confirmed your account is able to go online, restart the process using the Uber x bp pulse sign-up link. If the issue continues, contact bp pulse Customer Care.
5. Discount Not Applied

The Uber discount is only applied once your bp pulse account is fully linked to your Uber account.

Resolution:

  • Check in the app that your account is successfully linked
  • Mobile app Profile screen greeting HAMID with menu options; bp pulse x Uber marked LINKED and highlighted.

  • If not, follow the sign-up steps again to link your account.
