Sunderland, your Uber is arriving now

We’re excited to announce that we’re now officially on the road in Sunderland! So with one tap you can ride in style without breaking the bank. From 4pm today, you’ll be able to use Uber to request a car at the touch of a button.

So whether you’re planning a night out, stopping for a spot of lunch or catching the match, you’ll never be more than a tap away from a reliable ride. You’ll find Uber is a great way to stretch your budget, for example, a journey from Park Lane Metro station to The Stadium of Light could cost around £3.50.*

New to Uber? Get up to £15 off your first ride** with the code GRACEHOUSE

Tap Promotions in the Uber app and add the code to automatically apply it to your account.

We’re teaming up with local charity Grace House and will be contributing £5 to support their work for every new rider who signs up and applies the code to their first ride.

How does it work?

– Download Uber onto your phone and create your account

– Position the pin on the map at your current location to request a car and track its arrival

– Use the in-app fare estimator to see how much your trip will cost

– Share your ETA to let the folks at home know when you’ll be arriving***

– Sharing an Uber with friends? Split the fare to share the cost and see your savings stack up
