Apply for a Driver Accreditation
Rideshare drivers in VIC are required to hold a driver accreditation issued by the Taxi Services Commission (TSC.) You’ll need to apply directly through the TSC and provide Uber with your application reference number to proceed to the next step in the Uber sign-up process. Find out how below.

2. Complete a medical assessment at your prefered GP
The TSC requires all applicants to undergo a medical assessment. Your local medical provider will likely provide this service (although pricing may vary.)
You will need to print the following medical assessment and take it to your appointment. You’ll need to upload the assessment to the TSC Document Upload Portal, using credentials provided to you by the TSC after you have submitted your online application.
If applicable, please bring your eyeglasses and medical prescriptions to the appointment.
Failure to bring these, may delay your process and require you to rebook another medical assessment to obtain your driver accreditation.
3. Upload your documents to the TSC Document Upload Portal
You’ll need to upload a photo of your Victorian driver’s licence and your medical assessment to the TSC Document Upload Portal. You can find the link to this portal and your required documents in your emails from the TSC. If relevant, you’ll also need to provide an interstate driving history, certified 100 points of ID and/or further medical information to support your application. Once you log into the portal, the documents you are required to upload will be listed.
Already applied for a driver accreditation with the TSC?
Great! Please provide us with your driver accreditation application reference number. We may use this to confirm with the Taxi Services Commission (TSC) that your application has been submitted.
How long will my application take?
The application process is likely to take 2-4 weeks, you will be required to complete an application and upload all relevant documentation to the TSC Document Upload Portal.
How do I submit additional information to the TSC?
In some cases the TSC may require additional information to assess your application. The TSC will let you know if they require you to submit additional information and you will need to upload the documents to the TSC Document Upload Portal.
Additional information may include:
- Medical assessment
- Driver’s license
- Certified identification documents
- Interstate driving history
I already have a driver accreditation, do I need to complete this?
No. If you already hold a valid driver accreditation from the Taxi Service Commision head to your profile to upload a copy of the accreditation. Once approved we will let you know your next steps to get on the road!
Do I need to complete a medical assessment for my application?
Yes. All applicants applying for a driver accreditation will need to complete medical assessment to ensure they are fit to drive.

I need to renew my driver accreditation, can I use the online application?
If your driver accreditation is still valid you are unable to renew it through the TSC online form. You will need to contact the TSC directly.
If your driver accreditation has expired you will be able to reapply through the online application.
