Every trip is insured
Driver-partners participating in UberX, UberXL, and Assist are covered by a contingent liability policy that works with their personal insurance to provide protection. By purchasing this contingent insurance policy that works along with compulsory third party (CTP) injury cover, Uber ensures that every trip is covered and that riders and other road users are protected in the event of an accident.
Partner Support Insurance
Uber offers partner support insurance for certain personal injuries, helping to cover partners should something go wrong while using the Uber app.
* Insurance is issued by Allianz Australia Insurance Limited (ABN 15 000 122 850; AFSL 234708). Terms, conditions, limits and exclusions apply.
All cars driven by Australian ridesharing driver-partners must be:
- road registered and insured for compulsory third party (CTP) in your state or territory of residence, and
- insured for a minimum of third party property damage, with the driver-partner as policyholder or named insured driver.
Commercial insurance is also accepted and the driver-partner is not required to be the policyholder or named insured driver for this type of coverage.
Dedicated to safety
When you drive with Uber, you get 24/7 driver support and insurance coverage. And all riders are verified with their personal information and phone number, so you’ll know who you’re picking up and so will we.
