Uber has been in Florida for 3 years now, and some partners have been driving with Uber for almost as long. So we wanted to show our appreciation for the driver-partners who move Florida—specifically Pinellas County—and get riders where they’re going safely and affordably.
Last Sunday, February 26, Uber hosted a driver-partner appreciation event at Countryside Lanes in Clearwater. More than 250 people attended the event, where driver-partners and their family and friends were able to bowl; play arcade games; and enjoy refreshments, a visit from Clearwater Mayor George Cretekos, and several raffles.
Driver-partners won UberEATS credits, Tampa Bay Lightning tickets, and a weekend staycation at the Kimpton Hotel Zamora in St. Pete.
At the event, Uber team members had the opportunity to chat with driver-partners about their experience driving with Uber, and it was great to hear their amazing stories and bring them together to swap tips and stories.
We met with a few driver-partners who shared some of their experiences. Here’s what they had to say:
To all the driver-partners who attended our event: Thank you for coming, and we hope you enjoyed yourselves! We loved getting to talk with partners and their families face-to-face and hear how Uber has impacted your lives.
Thank you to Countryside Lanes for hosting the event and Kimpton Hotel Zamora, who donated a generous raffle prize!
