1. Call us
Call 13-UBER (13 82 37) from a phone that can accept texts¹. An Uber team member will help you set up your account, if you don't already have one, and request a ride.
When setting up your account, you will add a payment method. Don’t worry – you won’t be charged for calling us; we’ll charge your payment method on file after you complete a successful trip. To help keep your personal information safe and secure, make sure to use only this phone number when calling to request a ride.
2. Ride stress-free
You can either call the moment you need a ride or call ahead to request a ride up to 90 days in advance, giving you more certainty so you can relax on the day of your trip.
3. Receive trip details by text
After your phone call, we’ll send you a text with details about your confirmed trip and the driver picking you up, including their name, car type, license plate number, and estimated time of arrival. You will also receive a text when your driver arrives at your pickup location.
4. Your safety is a top priority
Before you get in your ride, check that your driver’s name, licence plate number and car make and model match the details you received by text. Everyone who drives with Uber is screened before their first trip.²

- Can I request a ride for others?
Down Small At this time, account holders can only request for themselves through the 13-UBER service. You must call using the phone number registered with the account. You can still make trip requests for others through the Uber app.
- Can I take a trip with multiple destinations?
Down Small At this time, multiple-destination trips are not available through 13-UBER, but you can request a trip with multiple destinations in the Uber app.
- (VIC only) Can I use Multi Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP) on 13-UBER?
Down Small Yes. All you need to do is submit your details here once you have created an Uber account. Alternatively, you can call us on 13-UBER and one of our friendly agents will be happy to assist you with enrolment.
