More than 1,000 uberX driver-partners call North Philly home and play a vital role in safely transporting Philadelphians across their city. In May alone, North Philly uberX driver-partners completed nearly 60,000 trips, helping residents reliably get to doctors appointments, business meetings, dinners with friends, and more.
North Philly uberX partners have taken home millions of dollars in net fares on the Uber platform, and are expected to generate millions more in the coming years. This has all been done with the freedom and flexibility to set their own schedules, working when and where they choose.
Last Friday, over 100 driver-partners and their families gathered with the Uber Philly team at a partner appreciation event to celebrate these entrepreneurs and the incredible impact they have had in the North Philly community and across the entire city.
Uber Philly General Manager Jon Feldman spoke to the economic opportunities available through the Uber platform, and highlighted their positive impact on the local economy, as well as the partners’ role in making Philadelphia safer by offering a safe and reliable alternative to drunk driving.
