Join Eats Pass from your Uber Eats app by simply following these steps -
Open your Uber Eats app and add your eligible Amex Card to your account.
Tap the Account icon in the bottom right corner, and select Eats Pass from the list.
You’ll see a signup screen with information about the Eats Pass program, courtesy of American Express.
Take a moment to review the Terms and Conditions, and tap Start Eats Pass. You’re now an Eats Pass member!

FAQs - Uber Cash Benefits
- How will I receive my Amex Benefit?
You can receive up to $200 in your Uber Cash balance annually by adding your Platinum Card® or Centurion® Card from American Express as a payment method on your Uber account. The Amex Benefit is distributed to your Uber Cash balance in monthly increments of $15, plus a $20 bonus in December (for $35 total in December). Your Amex Benefit in Uber Cash can only be used for Uber services in the US.
- Does my Amex Benefit expire?
Yes. Any unused Amex Benefit in Uber Cash, including the $20 bonus given to you in December, will expire at the end of each month and will not roll over to the following month.
- How does the Amex Benefit work in the app?
- After adding your destination, select your ride of choice
- Make sure you see Uber Cash listed above the confirmation button
- Tap on the confirmation button to request your ride
To find your Uber Cash balance, tap the menu icon in the top left corner of your app and select Payment.
- How can I switch which Uber account gets the Amex Benefit in Uber Cash?
- Delete the Card from the Uber account that you don’t wish to receive the Amex Benefit from
- Add the Card as payment method on the Uber account where you do wish to receive the Amex Benefit. If the Card is already on this account, skip this step.
- Complete steps 1 and 2 by 12am ET on the 1st of the month. The Amex Benefit will switch accounts for the new month.
- What if my Amex Benefit isn’t enough to cover the cost of my ride?
When Uber Cash is turned on, the Amex Benefit will be automatically applied to the cost of your ride. When your Amex Benefit isn’t enough to cover the cost of the ride, the primary payment method on your account will be charged the difference.

- What are the enrollment details for Uber Eats Pass?
Enrollment is open until Dec 31, 2021 and the offer is available for up to 12 consecutive months from the date of your initial enrollment.
- What American Express Cards are eligible?
Basic Card Members with a Consumer American Express® Green Card, Consumer American Express® Gold Card and Consumer Platinum Card® are eligible to receive this offer.
- Can I cancel my complimentary Uber Eats Pass?
You can cancel your complimentary Eats Pass at any time. If you would like to cancel your Uber Eats Pass subscription before the end of your 12-month complimentary period, you may do so within the Uber Eats app up to 24 hours prior to the start of your next Uber billing cycle to avoid further charges. You will still have access to Eats Pass until the end of your current Uber billing cycle.
To cancel your Eats Pass, you must do so within the Uber Eats app:
- Tap the account icon in the bottom menu bar to access your account view Tap "Eats Pass" to open your Eats Pass hub
- In the hub, scroll down to find the "Auto-Renew" toggle and turn it to "Off" A pop-up will appear asking if you want to turn auto-renew off.
- Tap "Turn Off" to confirm your cancellation
- Can I still enroll in the complimentary Eats Pass if I already have an Eats Pass subscription on my account?
Yes, in your Uber Eats App, select the Eats Pass icon to enroll in the complimentary Uber Eats offer through American Express. Once enrolled, your complimentary Uber Eats Pass will begin at the start of your next Uber billing period.
