It’s been a big week in food news with the 2014 Michelin-starred restaurants announced on Tuesday. With so many NYC restaurants on the list, it’s hard not to feel lucky that we live in a city with such a thriving food culture. The flip side is that it’s also hard not to feel overwhelmed with choices when asked the question, “Where should we go out to eat tonight?”
Today we’re narrowing down that long list of options for you by focusing in on fall-friendly comfort food. With October and autumn temperatures in full swing, we’re getting closer to that time of year when we get to go hunker down in our favorite restaurants and order those dishes best enjoyed during sweater weather. This weekend, stop by one of the below spots for an Uber-approved comfort meal.

PRO TIP: Nab a booth in the back and pair your burger with an Old Speckled Hen.
Alternative Comfort | Champs Family Bakery

Champs in Brooklyn serves up some of the best vegan and vegetarian comfort food you can find. Recommendations include any of the Bowls (including the “Awesome Bowl” pictured on the left) and basically anything on the brunch menu. Even if you’re not vegan, this place is worth a trip.
