Because it’s the season of giving, today we’re pleased to announce the official launch of SUV in Atlanta. Our gift to you. Uber riders now have the option of requesting an SUV and riding swanky in a Navigator, Escalade, or Suburban.

What does this mean for you? If your posse is larger than four people, everyone can ride together in one Uber. Each SUV can accomodate up to six passengers. But, living large has its costs. In ATL, we offer a base fare of $14 and charge either $4.25/mile (when traveling 11mph+) or $1.00/minute (when traveling under 11mph). For more information on this check out the Atlanta city page.

How do I request an SUV?

If you are using the app, you can change the car type at the top of the screen. You can also differentiate car type if you’re using m.uber.com to request. Our classic black car option will continue to be available.

Note: choosing “Black” and being picked up by an SUV will not charge you our SUV rates.
