Look Twice For Bikes!

Seattlites love bicycles. We turn them into coffee carts, ice cream “trucks” and soon enough, we will have our very own bike share program!

The folks of our city rely on buses, bikes and Uber to get around town, and we’re thrilled to be a part of a community that values alternative transportation.

What better way to celebrate these alternatives then to partner with Cascade Bicycle Club for July’s #UberIMPACT?

Cascade Bicycle Club is a nonprofit that is working to create a better Puget Sound region through bicycling. Their staff and 15,000 members believe in the power of bikes. We’ve teamed up with them and the fine folks at Black Rapid and New Belgium to create a short film about sharing the road and how you should always look twice for bikes.

Here are the steps we’re taking to increase safety on Seattle roads:

  • Join us THIS friday (July 25th, 8 pm) at Gasworks Park for the New Belgium Clips Film Festival. What could be better than sipping on New Belgium beer at Gasworks and watching short films about bikes? Click here for a sneak peek of the film
  • We’ve worked with Cascade to create a resource for our partner drivers about looking twice for bikes. Communicating important tips on how to share the road will help make Seattle a safer place to walk, bike and drive.

But wait, there’s more!

We are so excited to be partnering with Saris this fall to help people get themselves (and their bikes) around the Emerald City. We are working on setting up some of our partner drivers with Saris bike racks so you no longer have to worry about how you’ll get your bike home when those unpredictable situations occur. Stay tuned for details in the upcoming months!
