Get your green ready, it’s time for St. Patrick’s Day! However you choose to celebrate, we encourage all Idahoans to stay safe. With a safe, convenient ride available to get you home with the tap of a button, there’s no reason to drive if you’ve had too much to drink.

In support of our continued commitment to help eliminate drunk driving, Uber reminds everyone who’s taking part in this week’s festivities to travel safe. For every ride taken between March 17-22, Uber will donate $5 to MADD Idaho.

Here are also several in-app features that help you make every ride as safe as possible:

  • Trip transparency. Once requested, a rider is able to see a picture of the driver, his/her name, vehicle type, license plate number and even their rating.
  • Share your journey. Use the “Share My ETA” feature to send your friends and family a map of your route and expected time of arrival.
  • A constant feedback loop. Our app asks riders and drivers to provide comments after every trip. Uber is proactive in monitoring feedback to make sure any incident is addressed immediately. Learn more about our feedback process here.
  • Cashless transaction. Fares are automatically charged to the credit card associated with your account. No need to fumble with cash and no need to tip – everything is processed through the app.

We are committed to the safety of everyone using Uber, which goes beyond being DD! Leave it to us to make sure you finish your St. Patrick’s Day celebration right, by getting home safely.

MADD’s mission is to eliminate drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. If you or someone you love has been affected by a drunk driver, MADD is here to help.Services are available 24 hours a day, every day of the year through our help line 877.MADD.HELP. Together, these programs ensure that MADD achieves its lifesaving mission.
