When driving at BOS, learn how to receive airport trip requests and get in on the action. Some of the busiest times for pickups are Sunday afternoons through evening, Monday morning, and weekday afternoons through evening.
Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) is beginning to transition pickups and dropoffs away from the current locations.
Pickups have already moved
All pickups from Terminals A, B, C, and E now occur in the airport’s Central Parking garage. Follow signs for the correct pickup location as you approach the Central Parking garage.
Dropoffs move to Central Parking on December 9
Beginning December 9, all dropoffs will move to Central Parking (with the exception of Terminal A/B/E dropoffs between 4am and 10am, which will be allowed on the Arrivals level curbside).
Riders who require an accessibility accommodation will be able to request a curbside pickup through the Uber app. You can follow your navigation to the pickup point if a rider requests a curbside pickup. Additionally, if your rider calls, messages, or informs you of the need for a curbside pickup or dropoff due to an accessibility need, you are permitted to meet your rider at the terminal curbside or drop them off at Arrivals (regardless of the time).
Airport regulations for drivers
Per airport regulations, drivers must adhere to the terms below and additional rules here. Failure to do so may result in the receipt of a citation or even restriction of access to airport trips. Uber will not pay for any citations that drivers may incur.
You can receive trip requests from riders leaving the airport. However, these trips work a little differently than other requests.
Waiting for requests
There's a first-in-first-out (FIFO) queue. This means that, in order to receive a trip request, you can enter the designated waiting area, located within a “FIFO zone”. You should then be placed in a virtual queue where the first driver to enter should be the first to receive a trip request.
Based on the operating agreement with the airport, the waiting area is located near the rental car center (see map below).

Picking up your rider
Once you accept a trip request, the pickup locations at BOS are located at the places displayed below. (see map below).
If a rider cancels a request at the airport, you should keep your place in line at the waiting lot. If this happens when you’re en route to pick a rider up, you can return to the waiting lot immediately to avoid losing your place in line.
Driver cancelations: Trip cancelations can take away from the experience that both riders and drivers expect. Drivers who improperly use the app and intentionally disrupt the service, including excessively canceling rides or asking riders to cancel rides, may lose the ability to receive trip requests to and from the airport through the Driver app.
You will see a bar at the top of your Driver app when you enter the waiting lot at Logan Airport. This should give you an idea of how long you will need to wait for a request.
The airport has set aside a dedicated waiting lot for a request at the airport, and requires drivers to be in this waiting lot in order to receive requests.
