Whether you’re driving, delivering, waiting for your next trip, or deciding where to go, there are moments when speaking is simply easier than tapping through the app.

Coming soon*, drivers and couriers will be able to use voice to do more in the Driver app, with fewer taps and less searching. Ask questions about where and when to drive, message or call a rider, or report a road condition. Just tap the microphone and speak.

Voice is starting to roll out to drivers in the US and will become available to more drivers and couriers over time.*

Ask questions without tapping through the app

Wondering where it’s busy, how long the airport queue is, or just want to check your earnings from the last trip?

Try questions like these while you aren’t on a trip:

  • “Where is it busy right now?”
  • “What preferences do I have set up?”
  • “How much did I make this week?”
  • “What events are happening nearby tonight?"
  • “How long is the airport queue?”

Voice can help you find information about demand, nearby events, earnings, airport activity, promotions, preferences, settings, and more.

Message or call riders and customers

Need to let your rider or customer know you’re a few minutes away? Or hear their latest message?

While on a trip, you can use your voice to:

  • Send a message: Try “Message my rider that I’m 3 minutes away.”
  • Hear your latest messages: Say “Read my latest messages.”
  • Make a call: Say “Call my rider.”

Report road conditions with your voice

See traffic, a crash, construction, or a road closure along your route? Soon you’ll be able to report it on the app with your voice.

Just tap the microphone and say what you see, like:

  • “There’s a lot of traffic.”
  • “There’s an accident ahead.”
  • “This road is closed.”
  • “There’s construction here.”

*Voice is rolling out gradually to drivers and couriers in the US. Voice features may become available at different times, so you may not have access to all features shown here at once. Availability may also vary depending on where you are and whether you're on or off a trip. Voice is currently available in English.
