Introducing airport Pre-Match
Pre-Match is now available at Sea-Tac Airport! This new feature notifies Uber driver-partners waiting in line for a trip that they can begin heading toward the airport a few minutes before we anticipate a pickup request. It’s a win-win—drivers get closer to the terminal faster and riders may enjoy shorter wait times.

 What happens if I receive a Pre-Match but I don’t receive a request before leaving the terminal?Although rare, there are times when a driver-partner could be notified to head to the terminal but a pickup request doesn’t come. In this case, you should return to the waiting area. Don’t worry! You will not lose your place at the front of the line. How do I know if I should head back to the waiting area?You will receive a notification in your Uber Driver app. This is what it will look like:  What happens if I receive a Pre-Match notification but I’m not ready to leave the waiting area?You will still remain in the airport queue. However, it is a good idea to start driving toward the terminal to increase the chance of getting a pickup request. Once in Pre-Match, the driver-partner who is closest to the terminal will receive the next pickup request. |
