You could make extra money where it’s busiest
To better reflect expected trip requests, we’re introducing different values for Consecutive Trips. Now, you’ll see different dollar amounts for different zones. The busier the area, the higher the amount you could earn.
1. Start in the zone
Start your first trip in a Consecutive Trips zone. You’ll earn the dollar amount shown when you complete the series.
2. Stay Online
After that first trip, take 2 more trips (from any zone within the state you’ve signed up to drive). Make sure you don’t turn off your phone, decline a ride, or cancel a trip.
3. Complete 3 trips in a row
After 3 consecutive trips, you’ll earn the dollar amount shown in the app during the first trip, no matter where your other trips took place.
Important reminders
For trip #1
If you accept a trip in one zone, but end up starting your trip from a different zone, the higher amount always applies.
For trips #2 and #3
The amount you earn on your first trip will stick with you when you complete your Consecutive Trips series, no matter where your next 2 trips begin.
Frequently asked questions
- I drove through a higher promotion zone during my series. Why am I not paid that amount?
You’ll get the dollar amount that’s shown in the first zone you start in. To earn the highest promotional amount, start the series in that zone.
- Sometimes, I don’t get Consecutive Trips offers in my area. Why is that?
The Consecutive Trips promotion is offered in certain areas when there’s more expected riders than available drivers. In areas with an equal balance of riders and drivers, it’s less likely there will be a Consecutive Trips promotion.
- How do I know when a Consecutive Trips promotion is available?
Check the Promotion section of your Driver app to see your available promotions. We may also send you emails and text messages with promotion details.
- How do I start a Consecutive Trips series?
When the promotion time begins, start your trip within the blue zone that appears on your app screen.
Tap the Consecutive Trips icon for help navigating to the zone—that’s where you need to be to pick up your first qualifying trip.
- Where can I see how much I’ve earned from Consecutive Trips?
- Tap on your profile picture.
- Tap the Earnings icon.
- Tap Earnings details.
- Scroll down to see the Consecutive Trips line in your earnings breakdown.
- Do I have to complete the trip series within a certain time period?
For each Consecutive Trip series, you only have to start the first trip at the promotion time; it doesn’t matter what time you finish. See the varying promotion times in the Promotions section of your Driver app.
- Will trips that count toward Consecutive Trips also count toward an existing Quest promotion?
Yes! Your Consecutive Trips count toward your Quest trips.
- Can I complete multiple series of Consecutive Trips and get paid for each series?
Yes, when available, you can complete multiple Consecutive Trips series and receive additional earnings for each one. Just remember to start each new series inside the blue zone that appears on your app screen during the promotion time.
