Partner Protection Insurance with Allianz Partners
In June 2018, Uber introduced the Partner Protection insurance program, under which drivers and couriers using the Uber app are covered, subject to terms and conditions for financial consequences of major life events, for example, the occurrence of physical injury, a serious illness or having a baby.
You may submit a claim using the online claim form below within ninety (90) days of an accident, event or circumstance occurring during the provision of transportation/delivery services (ride/delivery) or an event occurring outside of a ride/delivery.

On-Trip: From the time you accept a ride or delivery request until completion, plus 15 minutes thereafter.
Off-Trip: The time you are not providing transportation or delivery services through the Uber app.
What is insured?
Insured for high costs
All drivers and couriers covered by the insurance policies are automatically insured through Allianz Partners.
The On-Trip coverage, up to certain limits, covers medical expenses, and costs incurred by death, permanent disability, hospitalisation, and injuries. Check the policy summary for more information about the requirements and the maximum benefits.
Insured for loss of earnings
Eligible drivers or couriers are also covered for Off-Trips events, such as serious illness, physical injury, maternity/paternity and court attendance. Check the policy summary for more information about the conditions and the maximum benefits.

- What is the definition of 'On-Trip' and 'Off-Trip'?
On-Trip: From the time you accept a ride or delivery request until completion, plus 15 minutes thereafter.
Off-Trip: The time you are not providing transportation or delivery services through the Uber app.
The insurance for 'Off-Trip' is only valid for 'active partner drivers' and 'active delivery partners'. Check the policy summary for the eligibility requirements.
- When are you eligible for On-Trip and Off-Trip benefits through the Uber app?
On-Trip: All drivers and couriers covered by the policy terms and conditions are eligible for the benefits from the moment you accept a request for a trip or delivery to completion, plus 15 minutes thereafter.
Off-Trip: To be eligible for Off-Trip, you must be an “Active” Driver or Delivery Partner. This means:
- that you must have completed at least (i) 150 trips as a driver or (ii) 30 deliveries as a courier in the eight weeks immediately prior to the incident to submit a valid claim.
- eligibility for Maternity/Paternity benefit: (i) any driver partner who has completed three hundred (300) trips in the six (6) months prior to the child's date of birth if the driver partner is the birth mother of the child; or (ii) any delivery partner who has completed sixty (60) deliveries in the six (6) months prior to the child's date of birth if the delivery partner is the child's biological mother.
