With the big game just around the corner, we’re teaming up with Habitat for Humanity and Houston legend Bun B to give back to our city—and you can help. At Uber, we’re passionate about celebrating the cities we serve. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity to support their SuperBUILD LI initiative to build 51 new homes in Houston by February 5th.

On Saturday, January 28, Houston riders will be able to request VOLUNTEER directly from their Uber app to receive a free ride to one of two Habitat for Humanity SuperBUILD worksites. Volunteers will work hand-in-hand with Uber employees, driver partners, and Habitat for Humanity representatives, and Uber will donate $100 to the SuperBUILD project for each ride to one of the worksites.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Open your Uber app between 10:00am and 11:00am on Saturday, January 28th
  • Tap the VOLUNTEER banner at the bottom of the screen
  • Request a free ride through the VOLUNTEER option for the chance to be taken to one of the SuperBUILD worksites with a friend.*
  • Uber will donate $100 to Habitat for Humanity for every completed ride to a SuperBUILD worksite.

*Each volunteer shift will last approximately 2 hours so we suggest you wear sneakers and dress comfortably. When you arrive to the site, you will be required to register with Habitat for Humanity and sign release forms. Volunteers will also receive a custom SuperBUILD t-shirt.
