Being part of a community means giving back. As the Uber platform continues to connect San Diegans to reliable rides, we look for ways to make a greater impact right here in America’s Finest City. This holiday season, we’re bringing back the Uber Food Drive to connect those who are able to give to those who are in need.

Together with the San Diego Food Bank, we invite you to open the Uber app and give back by setting aside a few canned goods from your pantry or picking up extra non-perishables on your next grocery run.

HELP US REACH OUR GOAL OF 5,000 MEALS!

Request a FREE pickup of your food donations on demand this Thursday and Friday!

 HOW TO DONATE:

  1. Open the app on Thursday, 11/19 or Friday, 11/20 between 1-5pm.
  2. Slide over to the “FOOD DRIVE” icon on the far right and request a pickup at your location.
  3. Meet your driver curbside with your non-perishable food items.
  4. Your donation will be delivered to the San Diego Food bank and provided to someone in need.

San Diego Food Bank

WHY IT MATTERS:

The mission of the San Diego Food Bank is to provide food to people in need and connect the people they serve to a range of health and human service providers. They advocate for the hungry and educate the public about hunger in our community.

Of San Diego County’s 3.1 million residents, 475,773 people live in poverty – that’s 15.2% of the population of San Diego County. Of this number, 138,334 are children. These individuals face “food insecurity” which means that little to no food is available at home, and often they will not know how they will get their next meal.*

Not going to be around for a pickup? Not a problem, you can donate online at our virtual holiday drive.

Want to get the whole office involved? Fill out this form. We’ll guarantee an office pickup on 11/20.

Thank you for making us a part of your community, San Diego. Together, we can make an impact this holiday season.
